I got this elliptical for Christmas. It was broken from day one. It took ProForm 1 month to get it running and then it broke down again with in 7-8 weeks of being fixed the first time. My advice run as fast as you can!!! ProForm does not believe in fixing things in a timely manner. You will be on hold for more than 15 minutes and then be told they will get back to you. I could have bought the elliptical that is utilized at my gym for $95 more which is higher quality and it WORKS. I was really disappointed. I have owned my ProForm treadmill for 10 years no problems with it. I tried to stay a loyal customer but after purchasing this I will never purchase another piece of ProForm equipment.

          4.0 out of 5 stars
          Good Buy For The Money
Just received the crosswalk about 2 weeks ago. The instructions were very explanatory on the assembly and it took approximately an hour to put together.

I love this machine. I have really bad knees and have tried out other types of elliptical machines, which cause knee pain 5 minutes into the workout, but with this machine 45 minutes just fly by. I could not believe how easy 45 minutes on this elliptical are. I also own a rowing machine and a treadmill, this is my FAVORITE!!! I highly recommend!

It's a crosswalk, not a real elliptical (even at 22" strides position the "step elevation" is about 8"). If you like consistent stepping it's not appropriate.

It shows a good and sturdy construction for the price. The main crank is supported by sealed bearings (important): what a pity the other moving parts are supported by (noisy) bushings, otherwhise the rate would be 5/5.
It's not as compact as the advertisement would suggest (46" x 36" footprint): the real working area is about 36"W x 74"L and the weight (nearly 200lb) makes it difficult to move from the working area (2 persons are necessary or a tool to lift it).
It was a good buy from "iFitnessDirect" (free shipping and fast delivery): no problems.
1.0 out of 5 stars
          proform crosswalk 8.0 ripoff
ProForm elliptical machine not worth the hassle when it breaks down and parts are needed. Customer service is non available (your call is very important to us) is a joke.
